OPEN consortium elaborated an appropriate methodology and designed tools to carry out a high-quality study, building upon insight obtained from a desk research analysis and open consultation with key stakeholders (with more than 265 students inquired and 250 senior academic staff consulted).  As such, the document focuses on providing insight into the current barriers for credit recognition,  international mobility of students & academic staff and international research activities in the context of the Lao PDR Higher Education system. With this publication, OPEN consortium gains understanding of the internationalisation policies and practices in the country at Higher Education level, orientate future project action as well as outline alignment with national policies of Higher Education.
