OPEN-ing Laos Higher Education System to internationalisation strategies is a Structural Capacity Building in Higher Education project co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission. OPEN meets an identified need in Lao universities to set up appropriate structures (IROs) and harmonise internationalisation practices as proposed by MoES, a well as ensure the quality of the study programs through international cooperation, boost student exchange and recognition of the period abroad and the credit system.

OPEN targets MOES, top-level management staff & leaders from partner HEIs, IRO staff, HEI teaching, administrative staff & students, Laos small-scale entrepreneurs, who will be able to apply the improved capacities to strengthen Internationalisation of Higher Education system in Lao PDR, improve the cooperation between different actors at a national level on Internationalisation matters and increase number of international activities of Laos.
